Program Benefits

Bi-weekly Paycheck

  • Hourly rate of $18/hr (paid bi-weekly)

  • Fill-time: up to 40 hours/week

  • Part-time: up to 20 hours/week

Cellphone Allowance

  • $25 monthly cellphone allowance

  • Paper check delivered by mail

Mileage Reimbursement

  • Applicable when steward must drive personal vehicle to additional worksites, outside of typical commute/routes​.

  • Reimbursement request must be submitted to Program Coordinator and Site Supervisor within one week of travel.

SNAP Application Assistance

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

  • Administrative Coordinator can write a "verification of employment" letter to use with your SNAP application

  • Program Coordinator to assist with application process as needed

Kaiser HMO Medical Insurance

  • For employees working 20 hours or more per week

  • Health insurance begins at the start of month after four consecutive 20+ hour work weeks​

Workers Compensation

If you are injured on the job, you may be eligible for workers compensation through Altres.

Trainings and Certifications

  • Mandatory First Aid and CPR trainings

  • Media training

  • Other workshops and certifications throughout the term

  • Discounted online college courses through Arizona State University
